Totally recommend for a weekend stopover

Great staff, great amenities, especially the bar/lounge area serving the best black pudding we have ever tasted and a fitness centre that was in excellent condition.

The location offers easy access to nearby attractions, with the Empire Theatre just a short walk away. The themed events and decor provide a unique vibe, making the atmosphere engaging and enjoyable.

Upon arrival, the strong smell in the hallway was off-putting and detracted from the initial experience. The bed felt more like a compact double than a queen, which left my partner and me a bit cramped during the night.

I had a lovely stay and enjoyed a spacious room with a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout my visit. it felt like a home away from home. 😊

We had a really pleasant stay at this central hotel! The room was modern and spotless. The breakfast was a highlight, with a wide selection and a friendly chef who was just amazing. Only thing was the lift was a bit slow at times. Would def recommend to anyone looking for a comfy spot!

We had a wonderful family stay at Holiday Inn Sunderland, City Centre! The room was spacious and perfect for our small kids, with a cozy atmosphere and a flat-screen TV that kept them entertained. The staff were amazing, super friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Plus, the location was fantastic, just a short walk from great family-friendly attractions.

I had a great time with my friends at this hotel! We checked out the nearby Stadium of Light and enjoyed the stunning views at the waterfront. The location is spot on, and breakfast was delicious. Shoutout to the friendly staff who made our stay more enjoyable.

The only downside was the narrow window in our room that couldn’t be opened, which gave us a dull view, but at least we had no noise disturbance.

The Standard Queen Room was really comfy! It felt spacious with a cozy atmosphere, and I loved the choice of pillows. The bathroom was nice, too, with a great shower. Only downside was the narrow window that didn't open, but it was quiet, so I didn’t mind too much.

I had a great time at the Holiday Inn in Sunderland. The breakfast spread impressed me with good options like soya milk and natural yogurt. The fruit selection, especially the strawberries, added a nice touch. The room was spacious and clean, definitely bigger than similar hotels I’ve stayed at. The location is also convenient for exploring the area. I hit a snag with the cooked breakfast items, though. they felt too greasy and salty for my taste. I also wished for on-site parking, which I knew beforehand but still found it an inconvenience during my stay. despite a few hiccups, I enjoyed the atmosphere and cleanliness of the place.

We had a blast during our stay, especially with the cool Beyoncé cutouts in the lobby and the chef delivering fresh fried eggs right to our table! The pool and comfy lounge area were perfect for unwinding after a concert. The only downside was the slightly noisy hallway, but it didn't ruin our great time overall! 🎉

Enjoyed the concert vibe! The hotel had cool decorations and a fun welcome letter with Beyoncé song titles. Really added to the experience!

I had a fantastic experience staying here, as it was only a short walk to Mowbray Park and the Sunderland Museum, allowing me to enjoy lovely strolls to these attractions. the hotel was also spotless with friendly staff ready to help, which made my stay even more enjoyable.

A Wonderful Stay in the Heart of the City!

I thoroughly enjoyed my two-night stay! The Standard Room was comfortable and cozy. Luckily, I discovered a lovely nearby restaurant that served delicious local cuisine. Although check-out came too soon, the proximity to the city center made exploring a breeze. I recommend taking a stroll along the waterfront!
